TASTINGNOTES
TASTINGNOTES Finca Antigua vineyard is situated in the center of Spain at 900 meters of altitude and divided into 40 plots of different vines. The wine is a blend of 50% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 10% Syrah. The blend is fermented in stainless steel, temperature-controlled vats and macerated for 18 days, then aged in American and French oak for 14 months. On the nose mint and mineral aromas, with hints of yoghurt. Its ageing in oak lends it nuances of spice (nutmeg, clove and tobacco). As well as in the nose, it also brings out a smooth creaminess, with a full body. The finish is long and creamy. Ideal as an accompaniment to Italian rice and pasta dishes.
TASTINGNOTES
Three Thieves is the story of three rogue wine lovers whose 20-year kinship was sparked by a shared desire to make uncommon wine to be shared by all. Joel Gott, Charles Bieler and Roger Scommegna were the gentlemen. The Thieves believe that a great Pinot Noir is a reward unto itself. To craft a wine that showcases the varietal’s most beautiful qualities, the wine is gently fermented and infused with a touch of French and American oak to lend body and support to the bright cherry and berry flavours. For additional structure, a small amount of Syrah and Petite Sirah were included in the blend. Beautiful violet and fresh cherry aromas lead to raspberry and juicy flavours with hints of berry jam and toasty oak on the palate. This medium- bodied Pinot Noir is a fruity wine with a silky texture . Serve with roast chicken, salmon or beef bourguignon.
Wolfberger is a union of producers located in Eguishein, in Alsace, France. The winery was founded in 1902 when a group of wine-growers decided to join forces to create one of the first co-operatives in Alsace. Made from 100% Gewurztraminer, the wine is a feast for the senses with rose petal, peach and honeysuckle aromas. The wine is a beautiful golden pale yellow. Wolfberger has subtle notes of exotic fruits (mango and passion fruit). Soft and light on the palate, Gewurztraminer has a fresh aroma and a tingle of sweetness (similar to lychee). Pair with Thai or Asian Food.
